Christian Raeth of Spargel on Nine, a New Restaurant with an Authentic German Dining Experience

In this episode of Building Success Stories, I interviewed Christian Raeth, Owner/Chef, Spargel on Nine, the newest restaurant in Queensbury, New York, which opened on Friday, December 8, 2023.

Raeth started his culinary training with an apprenticeship in his native Germany in 1984 and has worked in some of the top restaurants in Germany, Italy, France, and Switzerland. After an initial stay in the US in the early 1990s, he returned to stay permanently in 2000 and has since worked in a number of the area's top country clubs and restaurants. For the last 13 years, Raeth spent most of his time out of the kitchen, working in sales for Sysco, the world’s largest wholesale food distributor.
